I am trying to create box-and-whisker plots in excel 2007. In the past I've used the volume-open-high-low-close stock chart to do this. After building one and altering it to look like a box-and-whisker, i can no longer get excel to create a graph. Every time I select a stock graph, i get an 'information' box that says 'To create this stock chart, arrange the data on your sheet in this order: volume traded, opening price, high price, low price, closing price. Use dates or stock names as labels.' I have tried arranging my data numerous ways and always get this message. I know of no other way to show the data distributions that I would really like to be able to show.
